It's that time of the year when we celebrate the incredible achievements and resilience of women all around the world. It's a day to celebrate the incredible women in our lives – our mothers, sisters, friends, mentors, and colleagues.
This year's theme, #CountHerIn, urges us to recognise the importance of investing in women's economic empowerment. It's about breaking down barriers, levelling the playing field, and ensuring that women have equal access to opportunities, resources, and support. Whether it's through mentorship programs, access to capital, or policies that promote gender equality in the workplace.
International Women's Day is the perfect opportunity to support women-owned businesses, donate to organisations that empower women and girls, or simply lift each other up with words of encouragement.
Last but certainly not least, don't forget to show yourself some love today and every day. Take some time to practice self-care, whether it's indulging in your favourite hobby, going for a long walk, or simply taking yourself out to brunch. You deserve it!
